About Park Farm Campsite

We are a family run campsite on an organic dairy farm, surrounded by rural Wiltshire countryside. There’s only a small number of pitches, so you should have plenty of space in which to relax and unwind while looking out over the rural views (sunrises are particularly fine around here if you can haul yourselves out of bed in time).

We are an off-grid eco-friendly campsite, a nearly-wild camping experience that is perfect for getting closer to nature, making memories whilst enjoying outdoor adventures, big or small. The campsite also has some resident chickens! The fresh eggs are sold at the honesty shop (laying dependent!)

Our facilities include ‘posh’ compost toilets, heated gas showers, a covered washing up area and a small honesty shop.

We are dog-friendly campsite, with lots of local walks along lanes and through woodland.

We encourage campfires! nothing better than a campfire, toasting marshmallows, sitting round warming hands and chatting into the night. We sell Campfire Kits (Logs, kindlings and newspaper) for £10.

Our Farm

The Dairy Herd -

The Rawlings family have farmed here at Park Farm since 1947. It has always been a predominantly dairy farm and transitioned to organic in 2001. It was a very important decision for the farm financially, but even more importantly for the environment and producing the best milk possible. We are proud of our home bred herd of Friesian Holstein cross montbeliarde. The cows are predominantly grass fed, and out in the fields for as much of the year as the weather allows, being on heavy clay ground it can get rather wet. During winter they are housed in a large shed and fed on the silage that it made during the summer here on the farm (you might be lucky enough to be staying when silaging is taking place!) we are always happy to answer any questions you might have about the farm, so please do not hesitate!

The Belted Galloway Suckler Herd -

We have a small herd of farm grass fed, high-quality, high-welfare, pedigree Belted Galloway cattle. A traditional, native beef breed. Our beef is well hung (for at least 28 days). Belted Galloway beef is lean and succulent. Grass fed beef has been shown to contain higher levels of beneficial omega 3 and other unsaturated fats and lower levels of saturated fat than grain fed beef. The cattle have been naturally reared on grass being allowed to reach finishing in their own time.

We are producing a 10kg mixed beef box. Example contents - Roasting joints, a mix of steaks, Braising steak or stewing/shin, Beltie mince, Beltie beef burgers. Our next beef boxes will be Autumn 2023.

If you are interested in purchasing a beef box and would like to be put on the waiting list, please email rawlings.parkfarm@hotmail.com or call 07701019705.

The Chickens, Home of Edds Eggs -

Ed got his first chickens when he was just 11, and he started selling them at the farm gate. We have a few different breeds of chickens. They all have different coloured feathers, they are different sizes and they all lay different coloured eggs!

The eggs are sold to many locals who regularly come and buy their eggs from the farm gate. I also love cooking and baking so we use lots of eggs!

Each morning the chickens are let out of there houses to run around during the day and find grubs in the field and eat their chicken food, they will naturally go into the houses at dusk to roost. This is also where they lay their eggs in the nesting box, normally during the morning and then we collect the eggs and box them up ready to be sold. The eggs are always super fresh, and they are so yummy and make the perfect poached egg! If you buy some from The Egg Shed, we hope you enjoy them!
